Real News @ http://RevolutionNews.US — Ron Paul is criticizing President Obama on national security — for the killing of one of al Qaeda's top figures, Anwar al-Awlaki, which was reportedly conducted jointly by American and Yemeni officials.

"Al-Awlaki was born here, he's an American citizen, he was never tried or charged for any crimes," Paul said today after a speech in Manchester, New Hampshire, CNN reports. "To start assassinating American citizens without charges - we should think very seriously about this."

Paul also said: "If the American people accept this blindly and casually, that we now have an accepted practice of the President assassinating people who he thinks are bad guys, I think it's sad."

Paul cited the example of the late Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh, as an example of how the United States should deal with terror suspects. McVeigh was arrested shortly after the 1995 bombing, was tried and convicted in 1997, and was executed in 2001.

  • Ron Paul is a GOP hack

  • @Kardiatheon ha ha ha... that's the worst you can say about ron paul?

He has never voted to raise taxes.

He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.

He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.

He has never voted to raise congressional pay.

He has never voted to increase the power of the execuctive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.

He voted against the Iraq War.

He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. Treasury every year.

  • @RevolutionNewsUS I know he is a great actor, he even voted no to bills the added stuff to. What this clown does is he waits to see what the votes are. Then votes no after he knows it will pass. Just look into pork politics on real clear politics. Ron Pauls has an epic dollor amount next to his name. I guess that comes from being in govt for most of this life. Nice talking points thou, to bad it's not based in any facts.

  • @GWOTvetx4 you're a fool... ron paul votes after considering the constitutionality... not what others think.

  • @RevolutionNewsUS ok don't get me wrong, he does vote like other should. But this is my point is his message rang true with with the GOP he would be sitting at 50% plus, instead 10%. I not sure what the answer is. Maybe it cant be found in any of the two parties. Maybe there needs to be a thrid way.

  • @GWOTvetx4 there is a third way, the libertarians... and a fourth, the constitutionalists, etc... but the media controls the debates and never allow 3rde parties to attend... they didn't even let ron paul debate at the beginning of the '08 campaign and even gary johnson this year.

I doubt ron paul would win anyway... the elections are rigged... it's not about paul being the president... it's about his message of peace, the constitution and financial stability in the long run.

  • How can you say impeachment is possible when you voted to give the president the authority to determine which nations, organizations, pesons were responsible for 9/11 & use force against them. Awlaki was a member of al-Qaeda (organization) thus a legit target.

  • @WillDaboi and i guess thats cool

  • whole point @2:54

  • Come on how many U.S citizens are killed without due process of law...people are killed by cops everyday..and the cops walk off free. And i did not hear as many people bitching when that good old Patriot Act.Had U.S citizens locked in cells not charged with anything..America has been fucked up for years now everybody wants to impeach Obama because he actually has the balls to get things done..Ron Ball needs to shut up

  • @GWOTvetx4 Like I said, if you don't understand why he tries to get federal money that is taxed from his constituents BACK to his constituents, you're missing the point.

  • @TheSWTORMMO NOT SPENIND OUR MONEY!!!! Texas takes back more the the fed then any other state. But it not like they pay the most either. States like Minnesota pay more to the fed then they get back. I agree with alot on Ron Paul anti interventionist. But his Goverment spending levels are gone up up and up over time.

  • @GWOTvetx4 You seem to be missing the entire point of what Ron Paul tries to do when he puts funding for his district into bills. He's trying to get money back to his constituents that he's representing. There's absolutely nothing wrong with trying to get some of their tax money back from the federal government. You're not using your brain.

  • Well that would be the second thing in the past 6 months he should be impeached for.
