Coffee cherry collection at Gibuzaale Washing Station, Buginanya, Bugisu, Eastern Uganda. Coffee cherries - freshly handpicked by farmers nearby - are dumped into this collection bin, then fed by gravity (and one happy helper!) into the pulping machine below, behind the wall. After the cherries are pulped (red skins removed), they are washed and fermented in tanks for 24-48 hours then sun dried on raised beds.
thank you coffee!!! ♫
