GM already makes awesome cars that sell like hotcakes overseas. They have awesome models worldwide that would do really well here, but they choose not to do so. Why am I paying for GM to receive a tax break when they already make super competitive, fun, reliable and inexpensive cars overseas? Reference holden

  • GM has been lazy and underselling their cars overseas. It took 15 years to get the Hummer to undertake a simple left/right hand conversion to sell in Australia. Australians are frustrated that really good GM cars (ie Corvette) has never been realsed locally too.

  • GM has been slow about releasing their world class models everywhere. Why is it that a company like Toyota can make an overall great car, like a Camry, modify it to local markets and have similar product offerings worldwide when GM is simply unable to utilize a global platform for cars?

  • Hey man, u got support from a lot of people in Norway man.

I'll pass out the word for this, and post a link to your video on my blogsite;)

  • Thank you for your link. Best wishes.

  • Your theory doesn't make any sense. Why do they not deserve a bailout because they make holdens that aren't available in the US? Who's to say that anyone would buy them. Our current economy indicates that nobody would.

  • I think it's indicative of poor quality control and completely uninspired models. There are some awesome Vauxhaul/Holden/Opel models that are sold ocerseas that put a Chevy or Cadillac to shame for the same price. American cars are not competitive with their design and options relative to the competition in the US market. I also think the current US brand line-up is so tainted they need to flush the current brands down the toilet and start importing overseas GM brands to change perceptions

  • The Pontiac G8 is just a derivative of the car in the video. The Holden Commodore came first.

  • You are the dumb fuck.

The Camaro has a Holden chassis and suspension. The Zeta platform that the Camaro uses is an Australian design. The VE Commodore was using this platform since 2006, 4 years before the Camaro was released.

And the Commodore are built in Adelaide, South Australia. Not Asia.
