YOU CANNOT USE THIS PHONE ON T-MOBILE SIM - you can get the sim in but you will not be able to make calls or text or get service of any kind. The Frequency in Canada and the US is 850Mhz the phone supports the 800Mhz and 1900Mhz band. Meaning that this is a hardware problem that cannot be fixed without upgrading the components or overclocking the device which as far as i have been able to see, has not been successfully done yet.

domestic gsm and international gsm networks are on different frequencies, you cant use a domestic sim card in a 8830
