In the summer of 2007, The Winters Brothers, Tommy Crain and the Crosstown Allstars, and Michael Buffalo Smith played a benefit concert for Sid Yokem. Sid was Charlie Daniels Band's bus driver and was sick. They all gathered in Macon Georgia to raise money for his medical bills. I post this in tribute to Tommy Crain. We will never forget you or your outstanding guitar playing. Thank you for all those years you played for us. Now your can soar free of your earthly constraints..........much like your guitar notes.

I met Sid Yokem at a Charlie Daniels concert...I think it was 1974 or 1975. He let me drive his big truck around the parking lot at the hotel in Louisiana..I think it was in Natchitoches..he was an interesting BIG MAN and we hit it off intantly!! Got to sit in on a guitar pull that nite in Charlie Daniels motel room...one of those experiences never to be forgotten, thanks to Sid!!!
