Thanks for the VERY detailed step by step instructions! Especially the part on how to set up the Text Editor correctly. This was a key step that was not covered in the book I have, nor on the 30+YouTube videos I watched. Great job!

When I make a basic text edit page I can open it in safari and view it. However when I go to open it again in text edit the screen is black. I can highlight the words in the body which are still there but it now opens as a black page in text edit. Why is this?

Hey, thanks a lot for the tutorial!
I do have one question though; if I save it as html, close it, and then open it again in text edit, all my commands are gone, only my text remains. What should I do?

To open your files in TextEdit, right click the file and select TextEdit from the "Open with" menu. Make sure you off the rich text commands, to do this in TextEdit, go to TextEdit menu>Preferences>Open and Save tab>select "ignore rich text commands in HTML files" by selecting the check box.
