Sorry to say that this is not a Multi-Directional Lunge. As long as u dont have your pelvic fixed it is the same sagitttal lunge no matter which direction u turn.

i dont understand why people who thrive in the realm of endurance aerobic sports feel the need to teach weight training

True about the lunge ,BUT the exercise is still transverse hence maybe "multidirectional"

the dude is right, I thought the same thing as I watched it. NOT multi-directional, duh...now if she did not pivot the foot and actually lunged to the side or obliquely, the it WOULD be. It's not mult-directional just because you're facing a different way!

I'm talking about the actual lunge, not the additional ball movement, that can be added at any time. She is supposed to be demonstrating a 'multi-directional lunge', that's why I commented on that, I couldn't care less if she fingered herself in the ass druing the movement, it's still wrong!

what about the twist and the movement of the arms across the body....NOT sagittal plane!

That IS not a multi directional lunge. They were all in a sagittal plane of movement. Jesus.
