LISBON FADO & JERONIMOS MONASTERY

The first stop of our pilgrimage was Lisbon, the starting point of the journey. There were so many things to see in Lisbon, but we were practically just passing by. Having the chance to experience Fado music for the first time was spectacular and enchanting, the emotion of the songs are being drawn from somewhere very deep in the soul. I loved it. The Visit to the Jeronimos Monastery was probably the most important of the landmark visits we did that time. I had a chance to celebrate mass in this church back in 2006, but a visit here was enough to appreciate the splendor of the church, and its time-tested authenticity.
