A little information about Boeing 787

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a mid-sized, wide-body, twin-engine jet airliner under development by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Its maximum seating capacity is between 290 and 330 passengers, depending on variant. Boeing states that it will be more fuel-efficient than earlier Boeing airliners and will be the first major airliner to use composite materials for most of its construction.Boeing's development of the 787 has involved a large-scale collaboration with numerous suppliers.

  • such big plane, only 2 engines? how come?

  • yeah. that amazes me, because, A380 got 4 engines....

  • The 787 is designed to replace the 757 and 767 which are both two-engine. Two-engine planes are not as heavy as four-engine planes, thus more fuel efficient and less costly from a maintenance standpoint (only need to repair two engines).

The 787 is not designed to compete with the A-380. The 380 is designed to fly from hub-to-hub. The 787 is designed to fly from point-to-point. And since it is smaller than the 380, the 787 can fly into more airports.

  • Shouldnt upload it as HD if it isn't HD.

  • @brunoXtreme95 Camera planes

  • Why there are two little planes following the 787? Is a test flight?

  • @zane551 yeah only later i realised that this plane isnt a huge one :p. thanks!

  • @jihadforsatan cause they don't need 4.

  • @WillStriveHarder They try to make it with little power as possible... because they r stupid. who needs power? its only the most important part of the plane. And besides with all this modern technology they should make planes traveling mach 3. Get me to britain in 2 hours. Do u kno how uncomfortable it is to be in a plane for 7+ hours to cross one simple ocean ?

  • lol this vid is made on my B-day

  • @WillStriveHarder Part of it is that so much of the plane is composite.

This plane is a huge step forward technologicaly.
