I'm afraid even if all people knew about the truth, nothig would ever change. Look at Japan. Tokyo has a population of about 34 to 40 million people. If the nuclear power plant in Fukushima provokes a melt down, most of these people are going to die. What will the consequences be for us? Nothing much.
It cannot get any worse than that.
