My drum cover of Misery Business by Paramore.

I've been playing drums for about a year now and I'm entirely self taught (and this was only done in one take), so please give me any constructive criticism =D

I know the sound quality is crap, but I can't afford the mics or the software to prevent that =P

I thought that was the easiest bit in my opinion! xD I don't really have time to make tutorials, and even if I did it wouldn't be anymore helpful than this video =P Just keep watching covers (better ones than mine I'd suggest!) and repeat it back; simple as. That's all I do. I've taught myself purely from YouTube vids so if they don't help then a real teacher is what you need next xD

At 0:40 when you use the closed hi-hat, it's actually supposed to be eighth hits not quarter as you're doing. Don't worry I thought they were quarter hits when I first played this song too :P Also at 1:04 and the repetitions of this part it's open high hat quarter hits. Other than that it's great for a first run take. :)

your doing well for one year. on what iv seen from this cover, I suggest on practicing on warm up exercise's. like your singles, doubles, paradiddles, your flams accentting your hits off singles and your flam 2;s... theres alot of warm ups that can help you get tighter and faster if your willing to practise each on and never forget to include you feet in these warm ups ;) good luck!! and great cover by the way
