    you're clueless about economics. if politicians can print money directly then the rising prices would come even quicker because the money would be less trustworthy.

    I agree. Ron Paul is not set on bringing back the gold standard. He said that we should have competing currencies and let the market decide what should it should be. Historically it has been gold, but it should be left up to the markets.

    I like most of what he says but fuck the gold standard. We should let states start a state bank and issue their own currencies.
