The men of the 3rd Battalion, 370th Regiment Combat Team, 92nd Infantry Division of the U.S. Fifth Army were brothers in a segregated army, warring not only against the awesome power of the Nazi war machine but against racism and the widely held belief that they were not up to the task.

Even though their achievements proved otherwise. Those few racist commanders would make the sacrifices of the 92nd ("Buffalo") Division go unnoticed for awhile. The Heroes of the 92nd even though proving they fight as hard as "White" Soldiers would still be treated as second class citizens back home.

It is important to remember that they fought just as hard as any other Soldier in the war and deserve to rest in peace. They Earned it

  • Mad props to the black soldiers who fought Nazis and segregation. But Spike Lee, your a fucking shit head. This movie sucks a fat chubby, from the acting, to the realism, to the historical accuracy it's just plain bad.

  • well, we know that "night blindness" was some racist bullshit - niggers are really good at stealing things at night

  • @gjohnsoningary I mean hill billy nitwits!

  • @bh5496 Standard Operation Procedure during WW2 to put hilly billy nitwits in command of Black troops!

  • @THEKINGOFMETROPOLIS I liked it though.

  • hay-stack super funny

  • how come they have square-toed shoes? I thought those were only in use by 10th Mountain Division.

    movie was decent.

  • A guy told me that when General Mark Clark died, they asked him and some other top-ranked Westpoint cadets if they wanted to be in his honour guard and they said, no thanks. Mark Clark was a racist vainglory and I think that command style is depicted by the white officer.

  • I thought they faced SS-men, not the Heer.

  • @THEKINGOFMETROPOLIS

what about mad props to the french resistance?

  • how did this racist redneck hick get a position to command ANYTHING? lying, of all the... who lies in battle, just cause "all negros is lying apes" in his mind i guess.
