Well, I'm not going to make any discussion about Touareg vs all the other brands, but I was extremely happy and satisfied with the car. It's now sold, and replaced with a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 V8.
I think my Jeep Wrangler (with 6" lift and 35s) would have crushed your H1s and Geländerwagens!:)
