FAQ

Q: Where can I get free sheet music for this?
A: There are many full scores, parts, piano reductions and other sheet music for this piece here:

Q: Who is playing this?
A: I licensed this recording from
http://www.royalty-free-classical-music.org
It is performed by the Royalty Free Classical Music Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Keith J. Salmon. I don't know anything beyond that about the recording (who the orchestra's members are, when and where was the recording made, etc.)

Q: What's with the blurred notes?
A: The least blurred are the trumpets (yellow, at the top); the strings (green) are a little blurred; the singers (red to violet) are somewhat more blurred, and the timpani (grey) is the most blurred.

Q: What are the words?
A: Hallelujah: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. King of kings, and lord of lords.

Q: Where can I learn more about this piece?

Q: Is there a way I could make bar-graph scores like this myself?
A: The Music Animation Machine MIDI file player will generate this display; you can get the (Windows) software here:

There are lots of places on the web where you can get MIDI files; when Im looking for MIDI files, I usually go to the Classical Archives site first:

A: First, check my "to do" list:

If the piece isn't listed, read the "Could you please do a MAM video of _________?" item on my main FAQ:
http://www.musanim.com/mam/mamfaq.html#copyright ...
and if you think I'd consider doing it, email me (stephen at musanim dot com).

  • why are some squares fuzzy down below the notes???

  • @papiroazul See the FAQ.

  • isn't it Friederic instead of Frideric?

  • @Anathiron "Frideric" is how he was spelling it at the time he wrote this piece.

  • Are you open to suggestions? Could you, please, do the Antonin Dvorak's Symphony No. 5 in F Major Op. 76 (1875)?

I think you shouldn't do the whole symphony but only the 2nd movement (it's the best part)...

  • @joti88888 Sorry, I don't like Dvorak's music enough to listen to it as much as is required in the making of a video.

  • very nice

  • For the first time I really understand the interplay of the bass and higher parts. When you can see them you can understand them better in a structural sense.

  • I don't like the interpreatation of this song by the orchestra. I miss the sound of triumph and glory, it's to slow, to heavy and ther choir is yelling and not singing... (I know, that this is ONLY MY oppinion!)

But by the way: Great work, smalin, I love your channel! :-)

    Greatings from Germany.

  • @smalin sorry I didn't see the faqs, thanks

you do a great work :)

  • @smalin that's a shame :( but thanks for your reply :)
