Scenic drive from Salerno, Italy to Cannes, Southern France

Sadly, our time in the Bay of Naples had to come to an end as we had to head back to Cannes before our flight home two days later.

The journey was done in one day and took 18 hours to travel a distance of 608 miles (978.48 Kms) including two stops.

One of the stops was Orbettello, Italy which is 361 miles (580.97 Kms) from Cannes and is where we saw one of the most gorgeous sunsets.

We also stopped at the seaside resort of Viareggio, Italy which is 228 miles (366.93 Kms) from Cannes. We actually stopped there for dinner, but because we were there out of season, it took ages to find a restaurant that was open - it was also very cold and windy.

We eventually arrived in a very deserted Cannes at 2:06am the following morning.
