In my Humble Opinion This woman has the best Voice on this planet!!!
This is a very difficult song to sing and she does it without
any "strugle"...
How Amazing is that???!!!!
You better go and see Her.... Good things don't last forever...or do they???!!!
Enjoy the one and Only "Divine" Donna Summer!!!:-D)))

Anyone with info about the Brilliant Photographers that did these Amazing pictures, Please let me know their names. I really want to give them the credit they deserve. Cheers,
Paulo:-)))
This song was sung originally by Barbra Streisand for the film with the same name:-)))
Composed by Marvin Hamlisch, Alan Bergman and Marilyn Bergman.
Enjoy:-)))

Memories
Like the corners of my mind
Misty watercolor memories
Of the way we were
Scattered pictures
Of the smiles we left behind
Smiles we gave to one another
For the way we were

Can it be that it was all so simple then
Or has time rewritten every line
If we had the chance to do it all again
Tell me - would we? could we?

Memories
May be beautiful and yet
Whats too painful to remember
We simply choose to forget

So it is the laughter
We will remember
Whenever we remember
The way we were

So it is the laughter
We will remember
Whenever we remember
The way we were

  • Summer, thanx for posting this. I have the cd but I hardly ever play it.

Great version Donna made this song her own. Not comparing Bab's because they both are in different parts of my heart.

  • You are very welcome:-)))) I Love Both Ladies so much and both are Brilliant singing this great song:-))))

  • deeply wonderful

  • Hear our QUEEN :)

  • I think the best version is by Barbara Streisand.

But the best cover is Donna Summer.

  • I heard she's looking to sing some material that she wrote, in her own Broadway play. Sounds like a good idea to me, from what I hear. I'd go see it, for sure...

  • I dont think it can get better than this

  • She's the BEST!!! Thank you....

  • Simply phenomenal !!!

Donna Summer's vocal delivery and rendition of this song is distinguishably her own and definitively Donna Summer. I don't hear Barbra Streisand in this rendition at all.

Miss Summer is without question my kind of Diva ! Unsurpassed uniqueness !!!

  • By 1979 Donna Summer had become the undisputed queen of disco and some of the best pipes in the business. Donna could sing the hell out of anything! Then disco crashed and burned and got rebranded and called dance music, people like Evelyn Champagne King and Shannon survived. Madonna came on the scene, and later Loose Ends, and then of course "Soul II Soul" house music and then hip hop dominated, but it has these roots....

  • I love Barbra. I always have loved Barbra. But nobody has ever sung this song better than Donna. I cannot thank you enough. May the Lord bless you and keep you.

  • I love Barbra. Having said that. This is spectacular. Thank you.
