  • Hi, are this video using standard kit lens?

  • @nasserdjawas

Yes, shot with the kit lens.

  • Where do you live? I like this city

  • @DaanReeis

Frankfurt am Main (Germany). We are also shooting a documentary about the city. The trailer for "Format Frankfurt" is in our channel...

  • Did you shoot this video in Auto mode? If not, what setting(s) did you use?

  • @charvelgtrs Furthermore, you clearly are not asking the right question, given your comment. Yes, ISO controls light sensitivity, but this also introduces color grain, noise and smearing from in camera noise reduction. None of which can be seen in this video, and is why I feel that the shooter was using a tripod (aside from the zero amount of movement, which even image stabilization couldn't render that well). If YOU were using a tripod, would you use ISO 100 or 3200 etc? Mmmm? Exactly.

  • @charvelgtrs Actually, it makes complete sense. Look at the video again. There's zero movement, which tells me that this is not hand held. So therefore, if it IS indeed on a tripod, then setting the ISO to 100 or 200 would also seem a logical thing to do, in order to achieve what you see here... no grain/noise. In other words, if it were hand held, the ISO would have to be set higher, and I bet you'd then see a BUNCH of noise. I can see noise in ISO 800 shots from this camera's stills. Fact.

  • If you think this is noisy then I recommend you buy yourself a camcorder and see how well it does in low-light in comparison. Not even a $5,000 Canon 3CCD camcorder will handle low-light as good as the Nikon V1. Just check out this link v=OY7LuwlwQMU

  • @dougsweetspot

That makes no sense. ISO simply controls how sensitive the sensor is to light. What does it being on a tripod have to do with the ISO?

  • is this done with the 10-30mm lens?

  • too much noise
