Why such a low amount of boost with an 8-71? A 6-71 would have been capable of meeting those demands while demanding less power to turn from the engine.
Is your compression ratio too high, or internals too weak to at least squeeze 8-10psi out of it?

I run about 8 lbs of boost with my build, but very seldom get to that peak on the street. I do ok running 91 pump gas on the street cuz I usually don't hit the high dynamic compressession of peak boost. On the track is a different story - I run 110 race fuel on the track, cuz I'm deep into the throttle for long periods at high boost, etc. It's a matter of application and usage, from my perspective, what fuel meets the need.

Very nice run up. I'm building a 6-71 huffed mouse motor right now and run a 9 psi Paxton centrifugal on my truck. These people that can't believe one can run pump gas with this application don't seem to know much about the theory of supercharging and tuning for the application. I do it every day too using a MSD 6BTM ignition system that I can lag the timing up to 3 degrees per pound of boost. Theres the pump gas equation right there. Same power huh? Can we say NITRO Dragsters? Nice Car

you can get the same power out of a good unblown motor as you can in a roots aplication on gas without an intercooler. The proof is land speed racing, I see similar speed numbers between these two applications all the time. I do love the sound of the roots though.

tell them that and read the description. looks like it's doing fine to me.
