It might seem obvious, but let's face it, some of us arn't the sharpest knife in the drawer and would prefer a little denial and 'it wasn't me' to take the responsibility of losing weight off our own shoulders. Thanks Brad

Ah, yes. The heavier the person, the higher the metabolic rate... regardless of body composition. Makes sense. Thank you.

Thankfully, this doesn't happen because the heavier you get, the more calories you need to maintain that weight. So there would come a point where those extra 500 calories wouldn't actually be excess anymore because they are needed to maintain that higher weight.

Hi Brad, great videos.
By this principle, if a person overeats 500 calories everyday, this means he gains a pound a week, 52 pounds in a year, and 520 pounds in 10 years.
Is this biologically possible? Is this the result in those cases we see with people who weigh 500, 600, 700 pounds or more. Have they been eating something as "innocuous" as 500 calories per day, everyday of their lives for the past 10 years?
If so, you'd think more cases exist.
