FF Trailer: Soulmates - My Heart Will Go On (Katherine/Damon/Elena)

Aristotle said: A friend is a single person dwelling in two bodies. Very well, then what are two souls dwelling in one body?

This is a trailer to an AU fanfiction I started but didn't finish.

Storyline:
Back in 1864 Damon and Katherine fell in love. But Katherine had a secret. She was a vampire but Damon didn't mind. However Katherine also had many enemies like the lycantrophic Lockwood family who killed her in the end.

Now 145 years later Damon meets Katherine's reincarnation Elena. He believes that meeting her is fate and that Katherine somehow returned to him. So he tries to get her back by having Katherine's soul revived and transferred into Elena's body - with Elena's permission. Elena and her friends have a seance before, trying to get in touch with Katherine and see that Katherine's soul is very aggravated. Still they do the soul transfer. But now two souls are sharing one body. Katherine's soul is dominating it and so Elena's soul is slowly withering away. And Katherine has changed. She wants more than a second life. She wants to turn again and that is something nobody else wants. So in the end Damon, Stefan and Elena's friend send Katherine's soul back to the hereafter.

Now Elena has returned and is pissed at Damon because off all the pain he has put her through by hanging on to Katherine. He however finally realizes that he fell in love with Elena because she's Elena and not some Katherine copy.
So... will Elena give him a chance?
