I'm a Contralto (I'm a girl) and I think the highest note I can sing is B2 (not sure), but I can sing much more higher notes in Fasetto, but it sounds terrible.. Trying to expand my vocal range

what is pharyngeal?! I've seen a lot of voice lessons and never heard of anyone referring to your "pharyngeal voice."

it may be more difficult to tell with counter tenors, but physiologically the difference is the same, the cords come together with head voice, and they don't come together in falsetto. head voice uses less air, falsetto uses more air. Head voice with training can actually go higher than falsetto because of this physiological difference, with head voice, the opening just gets smaller, but with falsetto, it's quite limited with all that air blowing the cords apart.
