An example of a Gcse project which I made in 2007 and got an A* for, costing around £70. It runs on twin 540 motors and a 7.2volt rc car battery.

  • Hi, do you still have the plans for this?

  • @RENEGADEMPBA14 No sorry, it was partly made upas i went along

  • how fast is it?

  • Not very! The concept he was trying to pull off didn't quite work!

  • it looks pretty heavy!! and maybe the prorpellers are the wrong size. :P just some maybees and whys. :D

  • Yea, the hull is actually very light, but the nicad batteries, standard radio gear and heavy brushed motors are very heavy and as a result it sits pretty low in the water and hasn't been a huge success. I have now moved on, making a hull out of high impact polystyrene using lipos and brushless motors which has ben far more successful, I have a video uploaded but it is from before I was running with lipos so its about 300% slower!
