Carlos Hopontopofus ,Wog Rock Cafe television ad 1995

Here is one of the ads we did for the Wog Rock Cafe .I found this in a box in my garage .David's baby is now 18......
The iconic Wog Rock Cafe was an institution in Newcastle .Opening it's doors in 1993 with a comedy theater restaurant and delicious food ,the venue won many awards for it's entertainment and cuisine.The venue soon proved a hit and was booked out up to 13 months ahead . Anthony Lee was originally hired as the piano man to entertain at the venue but wanted to invent a comedy character for the restaurant and hence were the beginnings of "Carlos Hopontopofus"his most popular character.The Wog Rock traded with great success until 2000 when it moved to bigger premises at Warner's Bay With the combination of Anthony Lee leaving and David Jevtic moving to a bad location ,the Wog Rock finally closed in 2001 .

wasn't that the best years of our lives...it was a blast you were an absolute carlos hopontopofus, you made that character just come alive, some of the things that came out of your mouth was brilliant and halarious....man you have just made my day. This was simple brilliant. Take care will track you down soon , we are in Spain.
