Battle Frontier-Battle Pyramid(Gold)

Me battling the Pyramid King Brandon for the Gold Brave Symbol. I randomly chose my team. He has

Articuno@Scope Lens
Aerial Ace, Blizzard, Reflect, Water Pulse

Moltres@Brightpowder
Aerial Ace, Fire Blast, Hyper Beam, Safeguard

Zapdos@Lum Berry
Detect, Drill Peck, Light Screen, Thunder

Battle Pike, and the Battle Pyramid in the Frontier are different from the other battling places because they require you walking around, and you don't get a heal after each stage. So, it could be important to bring a healer with moves like Softboiled, and Aromatherapy.

Articuno has Reflect, Moltres has Safeguard, and Zapdos has Light Screen. Those moves are good for defensive play, and if all 3 of those are up, it could cut your attack options, and status inflicters even if Brandon only has one pokemon left. Articuno uses a different Surf/Ice Beam combo which is Blizzard/Water Pulse. Blizzard is inaccurate, and Water Pulse is only good if you get a confusion, so they aren't so good, and neither is Aerial Ace. If it doesn't have Reflect on, use a Rock move, if it does, use a Fire, or Electric, and it won't last for very long.

Moltres has a very inefficient moveset. Notice that it has 4x weakness to Rock, but none of its moves can do normal damage to counter Rock types. So, what more information do you need?

Zapdos has Drill Peck, and Thunder-STAB moves which aren't so bad except its attack is just average. And, for no reason, it loves using Detect. Its defenses are fairly moderate. You can try stat boosters because it will use Detect a couple turns at the start of the battle, and just keep attacking.

The only fronteir brain in history (so far) with a total of 6 legendaries. I've noticed that he owns legendaries that have a master. Like articuno, zapdos and moltres have lugia as their master and the 3 regis have regigigas and u cant say that regigigas didn't count at that time cuz u gotta remember that stuff written in braille in that sealed chamber

@lessthan0life the rapidash is fine yea, the typhlosion maybe instead of hidden power and substitute u culd have thunderpunch and smokescreen and with swampert, it obviously has more attack than speical attack so i can understand why i dont have any water moves, but maybe instead of hidden power u culd have bodyslam(tutor) or brickbreak or somthing like that> hope it helps :L
