Update 2011: I'm glad these videos have helped so many people out! To the more sensitive, yes, it is a very messy college kitchen that was shared by 4 college students. To make a clean area for this video most of the mess was moved into the sinks where the people who made them dirty would, one day, clean them.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a basic manual of how to put together and use the DAK Auto Bakery. This is a very old machine but alot of them were sold. Many people have one but don't have a manual and trying to get a manual usually involves sending someone on ebay money for a photocopy and hopefully not get ripped off. For the most part though, these were made to be a simple procedure, and when you are aware of what is supposed to happen it usually requires nothing more than the recipe and ingredients.

See the video reply for making a mid sized loaf of basic white bread which rounds out the 'manual'.

  • Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I was looking for instructions and happened by your video. My son brought this home to me, used, but no instructions. I usually manually bake four loaves at a time. I just wanted to try this out. THANK YOU!

  • Very informative, thank you for taking the time to make this recording.

  • I just inherited an FAB 100-1 and the pan has a small hole in it with some kind of bolt that screws into it. Anyone know the purpose of it?

  • @kejelj Agreed, it's one thing to be a slob it's quite another to proudly show the world such...

  • @leftoveramerica

I would love to get a copy of the manual from you if you were able to figure out how to put it online! I just my machines today from a yard sale, but no manual. And mine also came with a screw that seems to go into the side of the baking pan near the top, any idea what that's for? Thanks! =)

  • I bought my bread machine when I was pregnant with my son 18 years ago and it still works. Does anyone know where I may buy the kneading blade and gasket as I lost them. Sometimes I have problems with the bread rising and have tried to make sure the liquid for the yeast is the correct temp. Any suggestions? Thanks

  • Thank you for this tutorial! A friend of mine picked one of these up at her goodwill for me for EIGHT BUCKS! How cool is that? My first loaf is baking now.

  • (continued)....I would be more than happy to put them online free if anyone needs them - no need to pay anyone or get ripped off by some jerk. Just post here, and help me figure out how/where to post it (i have a digital camera and a flip vid camera but no working scanner....Perhaps an image hosting site?)

  • Thanks for making this video, DAKAutoBaker. My DAK bread machine is still going strong after 20+ years and countless loaves of bread. It's a shame to hear that people are being scammed in regard to the instruction manual.....I have two original copies (bought machines for relatives and they came back to me when those relatives passed on)......
