  • ok you are a genius! I've been doing something similar with my toller pup and I think he's starting to understand the concept of a hold! We've made a major breakthrough this past week, thank you!!!

  • Good, glad to hear it. This is more of this on the Clicker Retrieve 5b video, with my other dog who understands the concept.

  • In this video, the dog must continue holding the retrieve item when shown a treat. The dog must only drop when I click.

  • This is a really interesting idea! I might try it with my toller puppy who is having a hard time learning the hold. i'm shaping it fraction of a second at a time, but he likes to "levitate" when coming to me and sitting (his front feet come off the floor so he does a tiny beg). He already has a great retrieve to touch my hand, but now we're stuck! This might reframe the idea for him!
