Got my new Esky Lama V3 today, after flying it for about 30 minutes total flying time all seemed to be looking good with me taking it very cautiously and only hovering about 1/2 metre off the ground both inside and outside (light wind). Multiple crashes only detatched the stabilizing bar and did however break some of the tail which I fixed with tape, glue & cable ties.

However, Getting more confident flying it outside about 1.5 metres off the ground I crashed it into the pavement. My lama now has issues. It wobbles serverly all the time making it almost impossible to fly.

The only clue I have is the swashplate looks to be on an angle which tells me maybe it is a bent shaft? I have no idea as this is the first heli I have ever owned.

  • Somethings not balanced there. is it sorted now?

    did you replace a prop? but just one? i have just bought one of these.

  • Yeah it ended up being a bent outer shaft which I have now replaced. It flys well now see my other more recent vid ;)

  • fly in the sim before fly irl

  • Flight simulator? It is waste of money in my opinion. I used it for about 30 minutes and it helped me very little, almost nothing. It is so boring...

    I have the same problem on my heli after a hard crash on a tree :/ . How did you finaly repaired your heli?

  • @saltbearer How much did it cost to fix it;

  • You might have bent upper rotor axle :( Check rotor blades, and correct tightness is mandatory. Original blades suck. I bought blades 3rd party blades to try, and it was complete change! Being beginner, I got the copter hover still in outside on windy conditions! Blades must fit to their grooves gaplessly, otherwise tighting screws does not help. I have aluminum upgrade though. Try to make spacers. Empty beercan you get thin material to make spacers.

  • Bent shaft

  • replace all ur prop and buy extreme props they are better

  • @extremesniperdx The sim is for 4 coax, not twin props.

  • dont fly it indoors near a table smartass

  • More likely the gear on the outer shaft lost some teeth. I noticed at one point your lower blade was still while the top rotated. That's a stripped gear. When you replaced the outer shaft you probably did so with a shaft that had a new gear with it, thus fixing the problem.

  • its the swach blade just puch it up

  • lol try new blades and dont over titan them when you put them back on
