A cut-down version of a film made for The Brighton Filmmakers Coalition June 2010 Challenge - story vs genre. The story our group got was 'High Noon' (the ending is different!); the genre, psychological thriller.

Dream Sequences directed by Dan Childs with the Canon 7D using a 17-50mm F2.8 lens with an ND8 filter. The bulk of the film was shot on a Sony HDR-XR520.


Filmed on location at Newtimber Hill (Devil's Dyke) Falmer Campus, St Ann's Well Gardens (Hove), Nick & D's kitchen and different corners of Tim's flat...

  • The grading work at the beginning the saturation, giving an optical glow plus the vignetting works wonders, let alone the overlay later. Amazing work given the time-frame you got the story in the bag, with some great close up work & imagery (The use of a tarot card, reminded me of that old UK TV series with spooky merry go-round music at the start, forget it's name)...!!
