http://live.pirillo.com/ - Chris runs VNC on his local network so he can easily access multiple machines on his local network. But, what VNC clients are there for Mac OS X?

  • By far the best way to do this is to throw nxweb on your server and launch it through a java applet.

  • how do you find the right ip address? Not your home area based IP, but the one that identifies your computer specifically? A friend and I are trying to be able to get in touch with each other's computer but are having some problems

  • Motion seconded, works fine for FreeBSD and I installed it at work with minimal configuration, couldn't get gnome going though, fired up xfce instead.

  • a server on os x is built in just go to system settings and then screen sharing it is fairly intuitive from there

  • yes, but since connections aren't 100% effective it'll lag. But VNC can be though of as you controlling a robot sitting in front of another computer.

    it's free and it's for windows and for machintosh ;)

  • tightvnc (as server) works pretty flawlessly.

    ..as far as client goes, no idea. i use a mac.
