Its not Christianity thats at fault but Christendom. The politicization of the Church with its adoption as the official religion of the Roman Empire in the 4th cent AD marked the beginning of a so-called "Christian Kingdom" on earth - Christendom, who's path diverged from the Christianity of the bible. True Christianity has and will never get involved in human politics and its diabolical results, in God's name or anyone else's.

I don't give a crap about Christianity. In fact I think this country would be better off without it.
But this very thing highlights exactly what's wrong with so many Christians following these demagogues around like sheep. In this way Christianity is harmful to America because it turns off their normal thinking processes.
