Rylee was waiting in the lobby since 6:40ish and was completely bored out of her mind. She didn't have his number so she couldn't tell them to hurry up and she didn't want to bother them. As she waited, she decided to watch people and observe them. She was grossed out with the guy who was digging his nose and ate the "treasure" that came out from it. She liked the old lady whose hair was purple. She made a mental note to dye her hair some funky color when her hair gets grey. She also saw this red, frizzy-haired girl begging her parents to stay a while longer.
She was listening to her iPod as she watched all the fascinating people walk by. At around 6:57, she heard the ding of the elevator. She watched the people getting off and saw the party she was waiting for. She stood up as they walked over to her. Something about Nick's eyes made her stare at them. They were beautiful.
"Hey," Nick was first to say.
"Hi." Rylee replied.
"You know Kevin and Joe. This is Maya." Nick introduced them all.
"Hi. Nice to meet you," Rylee said with a smile while transferring handshakes. "I feel so under dressed." She said, looking down at her getup.
"You look great." Joe said.
"Um, thanks." Rylee began rubbing her arm; a habit from when she gets nervous. "So, where do you guys wanna go? I wanna bring you back early, soo, yea."
"How about we go eat first; I'm starving!" Kevin said.
"Ok. Um, we can go to Duke's. I hear the food is good. Let me just take out some money and I'll pay for-" Rylee got cut off by Nick.
"No." He grabbed her hands. "We are going to pay for it. So buy the most expencivest thing on that menu.....or else." He smirked. She bit her bottom lip-another nervous habit- and folded her arms across her chest. Joe glared at Nick.
"How far is it?" Maya asked.
"Just right here." Rylee said, turning to the Outrigger.
"Wow. I like this restraunt already." Kevin said.
As they waited, Rylee and Maya began to talk. Joe and Nick also began a conversation.
"You touched her!" Joe whisper-yelled.
"And??" Nick questioned.
"That's not fair!" Joe whined.
"This isn't some competition Joe. She's a really nice girl and isn't a trophy."
"Well, be a wimp. Saying you cant compete against me?"
"I can beat you any day, brother."
"Well, the first one to get a kiss-on the lips! - from her, wins."
Nick took a deep breath. "Deal."
Oh, no Nicholas..You competitive soul. :\
