@djali222 Music that is popular now is the bubble gum rap. But yeah can't do much about it. People will like what they want.
-
@djali222 I wouldn't go as far as saying they didn't give a fuck about money. Run DMC, wore gold chains. same wit Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, and they are all well respected rappers and are from the time when hiphop was considered real. Me personally I don't like allot of the bubble gum rap either. I think the industry is mostly playing music that sells. Most people like this bubble gum rap. It's been like that from time. 90's style rap that we respect was popular back then.

@megabowzer true now a days it doesn't take skill to get on the mic....just sign a stupid paper and your in like sin. but also true their are alot of really sick artist out there just have to digg!

hiphop went where it came from. the underground. nearly everything mainstream is bitchpop
-
true there is so much good hip hop even today its just underground
Dude what's ur point? You say there will never be another Wu Tang Clan, Fu-Schnickens, 2pac, Biggie. So why complain about that? Just keep listening to their music. There are so many rappers from back in the day that have made so many classic songs. If you don't like the new stuff then just stick wit da old. There are plenty of clubs, bars that play that stuff anyway. Too many people make this complaint. I been hearing this for the past 11 years. Getting played out.

@bboyStuntZ u have a point stuntz but what i was getting at is the industry aint showing the real meaning of hip hop any more
there is no more gutter its just all about money and fame
back then they didnt give a fuck about the money althought that was a perk
they cared about the word hearing the word
hip hop aint that any more
why stick to old hip hop when u can save hip hop today?
