Hello! I'm Kristin Volk in for Rebecca Field on this Monday, the 7 day of April 2008 with today's Entertainment Headline.

Family, friends and fans are mourning the death of Oscar winner Charlton Heston. Heston died at his home in Beverly Hills on Saturday. He was 84. He reportedly suffered from Alzheimer's Disease since 2002. Heston won the academy award for best actor in 1959's Ben-Hur. He also served as president of the National Rifle Association.

Singer Beyonce Knowles and her boyfriend, rapper Jay-Z, are reportedly a married couple. There's no official confirmation yet, but sources say they wed on Friday. The private ceremony was apparently followed by a lavish party at the rapper's New York apartment. Beyonce and Jay-Z have been a couple for the past six years.

But, singer Mary J. Blige seemed to have confirmed the Beyonce, Jay-Z nuptials. Blige made an announcement to the couple on Saturday night at a concert in North Carolina.
She told the audience, "Congratulations to my man, Jay-Z, and my girl, B, before dedicating her song "You're All I Need" to the pair. Blige and the rapper are on tour together.

Canadian singer Leslie Feist swept this weekend's Juno awards in Canada. The Indie favorite took home five trophies, including one for pop album of the year and one for singled of the year. Other winners include singer Paul Brandt for country recording of the year, Michael Buble for the fan's choice award, and Blue Rodeo for adult alternative band of the year.

There's not much to cheer about over George Clooney's new football comedy. Leatherheads, costarring John Krasinski, fumbled at the box office this weekend, taking in a mere $13 and a half million dollars. It came in second place behind the Las Vegas casino drama, "21." Jodie Foster's Nim's Island washed up at third place.

  • @shaansmsm maybe..but that is about all he was

  • wahoooo..one less gun freak n the world

  • @julbez Not more than me, and definitely not even a thousandth of a percent

of what Heston accomplished. But, of course, to compensate for your feelings of inferiority you put Heston down. Please remove yourself from this post. It's for

respectful fans of Chuck Heston, not for pussies like you.

  • @slathered

See how stupid you are???how do YOU know what i have accomplished????I'll bet you ANYTHING...MORE THAN YOU!! Peasant!

  • @julbez LOL!! He accomplised a thousand times more in his great life than you would ever accomplish in your little pathetic existence. He lived a full, rich life as a handsome, rich and respected man. You will live out your life as a little pussy.

  • @slathered

    and you sir..are stupid,very stupid!

  • @julbez Actually he was universally respected and loved, both as an actor and as a person.

You, on the other hand, sound like a little pussy.

  • @phil1234b Your jealousy is showing. Just because your little life is so pathetic you wish ill of other great, successful lives. Too bad you will never amount to even a half of one percent of the greatness of Heston. Want to see a loser? Look into a mirror.

  • great actor...BASTARD person!
