I recently discovered the wonderful world of Disney in Japanese through the lovely videos of other users like Marii26. It's so fun!
One of my absolute favorite Disney songs is "Once Upon a Dream" from Sleeping Beauty and I was sad when I couldn't find a translated version of it here. So, I decided to make one!

This is my first foray into Windows Movie Maker as well as into translating Japanese Disney songs into English...I hope it turned out alright. I gave it my best!

I really love this song in Japanese, just as much as I do the original version. The words fit perfectly in every way. And her voice is SO beautiful!

Hope you enjoy it!

Sleeping Beauty is (c)Disney.

  • @chinaarumew: No, this is Japanese. Cantonese is a form of Chinese.

  • This is by far the best version of Once Upon a Dream... I mean her voice and the lyrics are just perfect!

  • 私が昔慣れ親しんでいたのはこの映像です。

    まさにこの声と歌詞です!

  • @Scarletto1934 During translation they probably wanted it to make sense and sound fluid while singing so the lyrics are inevitably different than the english ones.

  • But? That's not the real English lyrics?

  • Excellent! I really like this song too

  • ×毎夜お会いしてるわね。→○前にお会いしてるわね。

  • ×踊った好きはなかった。→○脅かす気はなかった。

  • I still prefer the English version. D: This is nice though. xD
