  • That Sun is such a bastard.

  • Never saw this before. Technically it's excellent but the subtext of the cartoon is really creepy. Our "heroes" defeat the enemy by smuggling warriors into their castle under a flag of peace (the Dove of Peace, no less), which even then was a violation of the "Laws of War." And in the end the victorious soldiers all die, melted by the jolly ol' sun. Hum.

  • @smurfswacker The sun represents the Eye of Horus. Its a Sun God we are forced to worship even today. EVer look at CBS's logo?

  • This Video was from a Movie called "Hollywood Party" (1937) and it was a Awesome movie for it's time, Just seen it not too long ago and for my time it was amazing.

  • @smurfswacker If you go back into History and see Greece and the Trojan horse... they basically did the same thing.

  • @Hotshotter3000 A 1934 MGM movie, The Hollywood Party, one of those all star cameo movies. The 3 Stooges are in it as autograph hounds, and Laurel & Hardy are chased by a whole gang of waiters. It's not a very good movie. The Hot Choc-Late Soldiers is way the best part.

  • @smurfswacker I guess you don't recognize the cartoon version of the Trojan Horse. Really? You're really getting moral on a cartoon?

  • Mickey was suppose to appear in another MGM movie titled "Anchors Aweigh" with Gene Kelly. However when Walt Disney denied the rights to Mickey, Jerry Mouse of Tom and Jerry fame was picked instead.

  • @CDCB2 The guy you mean was Jimmy Durante.

  • @videos4everybody An mgm film with mickey mouse owned by turner entertainment, which is now part of warner bros.! That means he is part of Warner Bros.! Sort of.

  • That guy fighting with Mickey in the beginning sounds like Spike the dog from Tom and Jerry.

  • What movie was this sequence from?
