TS-2000 K2GXT Remote Radio Using Ham Radio Deluxe

K2GXT's (Rochester, NY) TS-2000 being remotely controlled from my home in Massachusetts 400 Miles away through Ham Radio Deluxe and Skype. Although still a bug or two to fix, the setup works great and the HRD is feature rich and shiny. The connection is fast, under roughly 100 milliseconds on both Control and Audio transfer. The radio can be remotely turned on and off, band switch, menu changes, and even use the internal auto tuner. The software can be set-up to allow users access with or without transmit capabilities which is great for a club setting. I was hoping for a desktop video software solution to this video but resorted to a camera, maybe for the future...

We use a Rig-blaster that interfaces between the radio and microphone. For the computer side we use any headphone/microphone headset, the higher quality the better.

Hello K2GXT, is 100% radio control, audio and PTT achieved via a Rig.blaster or ZLP or other interface or is it also necessary to use the TS-2000 DB9 computer connector betweein TS-2000 and PC? TNX Brad VK2CEC

How do you press a PTT button to activate a microphone, also, I assume that you can use a good quality computer headset microphone
