6 = Speedomenter sender impulses - each wheel revolution adds 7 to this count.

8 = program version

1= Distance Impulse number - the number of speedo sender pulses required to +1 the odometer. for miles the number is in the 6000 range, for kilometers the number is in the 3000 range.

2 = Clock display mode - 1: Europe (24 hour time) 2: Canada? 3. UK (12 hour) 4. USA (12 hour) 5. South Africa?

3 = Speedometer and rev. counter code

4 = number of cylinders, or ratio for alternator/engine revolutions. (for tach calibration)

5 = Segment test (lights all LCD segments)

@106YeahYeah I charged my battery with a Dewalt battery charged. It plugs into an outlet in house. My clock still resets every time i turn it on/off. Think I should just get a new battery?

@sh115067 I have the same car and mine would do that when the cars battery was almost flat . even though the car would start first time the clock would reset . when I charged it back to 12v it was ok .

@oxytrue So if this set of clocks is fitted to an alternative vehicle, in my case a transporter van, can I use this to calibrate my speedo? Cos I'm pretty sure it'll read incorrectly when I get round to driving it in a few days time.

this didn't work on my mk3. When I turned on my car it just showed the odometer and and ever time I pressed the button it switched in between the odometer and the trip tracker

How do I change the time on my mk3 golf. Every time I turn on my car it resets back to 12:00???

Works also on my golf 3 1.4 mpi I didn't even had an Tachometer.
