@givinitsomeexcellent point - I wanna die happy - having lived a long and useful life - and leaving behind new generations of beautiful young loving people. It is what mother earth is entitled to - as defined by her seasons. Those who resent or fear death should give some thought to the majesty of Autumn - and the pure joy of Spring. Spring deserves to exist far more than the tired leaves of the previous Autumn, and death is only the winter decay upon which Spring shines

if it was possible to live forever, it may cost 1 billion dollars.

How much will it cost me to live forever?

You (and this movie) focus on the wrong point. The main point is not "to live forever"; it is to not get sick and frail as time passes. I don't know if I want to live forever, but I certainly know that I don't want to get sick and unhappy. Longevity is just a side effect of not getting ill and frail. It is a slight but important difference.

Why would anyone want to live in a world full of people who think they deserve to live forever??

"I like Aubrey a lot. But I still don't know if he's the new Darwin. We'll just have to wait and see. But that could take 100 years or more. If Aubrey's right, then I suppose he'll be around to celebrate. I won't. I'm already too old. And so is Adelaide, which is sad, because Aubrey wasn't interested in aging research and immortality until he met her. And whatever he may say about what drives him, I suspect it was a love story all along."

@prazi86 It really isn't a smear campaign. To be honest, I think that this documentary treated Aubrey gently. He certainly won't make fans among the conservative crowd from his associations and some of his opinions, but any fair-minded viewer will know better than to hold those against him.
What those who fear over-population don't realize is that Aubry's research also would help result in the prevention of menopause, another result of aging. Therefore, women wouldn't be so pressured to have children in their 20's and 30's; they could wait much longer before deciding to have children. Imagined if the average mothering age was lifted to.... say, 50 or 60, or even more. Population rates would stabilize or even drop.

I love how half-way thru this thing turns into a subtle smear campaign, it's so stuffed with negative nlp it'd pass for mind abuse/coercive persuasion , dark backgrounds, ominous music, playing on people's universal fears: oh no, he used to be a guy, oh no Jehovah's witness, oh no he doesn't want kids !!??!! it's true that when the true genius appears you may know him by this sign, that the dunces are all in confederacy against him...
