Eve Decker, Andrea Prichett, & Lisa Zeiler on Lopez Island as part of the Home on the Grange Series from RadioFreeLopez, Nov. 8th 2007.rebeccariots.com Musically Rebecca Riots is upbeat, energized folk music. They do three part harmonies, guitar, mandolin and harmonica. On stage, the three women are charismatic, funny, and inspiring. Songs and between-song banter touch on a range of issues, including combating homophobia; gay-straight alliance; police accountability; healing through interfaith spiritual practice (the three musicians are Christian, Jewish, and Buddhist); caring for the country's homeless; prisoner's rights; positive body image for women; building with straw bale; gratitude toward nature; facing death and loss; anti-apartheid work; Palestinian rights; love and support of children and teens; and good old celebratory love songs. They have shared stages with Peter Yarrow, Utah Phillips, Laura Love, Street Sounds, Rhiannon, Ulali, Cheryl Wheeler, Sonia of Disappear Fear, Gwen Avery, Alix Dobkin, Alice Stewart, and many other balladeers for social change.

  • As bad as Rebecca Black hahaha :P

  • ahh... love it! I saw you all play in Weschester, CA way back. late 90's maybe. Bought a Cd, acquired another along the way, which recently broke and I FINALLY looked you all up on the internet! I have been listening to 2 of your CDs for at least 10 years and still love them! Will be checking in on this cool computer thing..so not in the computer sream...working on it :)

  • I miss these ladies. They were wonderful live. I feel the need to dig out their CDs now.

  • You are welcome. Look on iTunes also, as you may be able to purchase the song for very little. :)

  • Thank you for that...I have been looking for that song for sometime now, even today.

  • I'll look for it. I just discovered them, literally less than an hr ago, and am liking everything I hear. It looks like I need to see them live, at some point. ;)

  • I tried, but perhaps the title of the song is something other than the chorus lyric I heard them sing? I will tell you though, the song deserves to be a smash hit...and should be on a film soundtrack. It is just that brilliant!!!!

  • Google it to find their web site. Not only they have vids there, but their discography and more.

  • None. Google it.

  • I heard Rebecca Riots perform a song on a San Francisco Bay Area radio station about 4 months ago. The song, which I assume is called "When You Let Me Walk Away"...(or at least, those were the lyrics) was brilliant...and I mean it--absolutely... brilliant!!! It could be a huge hit song...if released. I have been searching You Tube for it ever since...but I have found nothing???!!! Don't sleep on that song-- get it out there to the public, radio, You Tube, and to the media, as it is stunning!!!!!
