I'm not arguing with your comment in particular because I'm sure u understand your rights as they apply to you. But I'll give you an example of how the law applies to my state, and 3 states that border me.
A man approaches me on the street an demands my watch. I CANNOT draw my weapon at this point. Now, if he demands my watch and grabs my wrist, then it has escalated to an assault and I can then decide if I am in enough danger to draw my weapon an fire.

@domco2525 I agree. If I saw someone getting beat I would call 911 & if it looked like someone could die before the police arrived, I might draw & strongly suggest they stop. I wouldn't shoot anyone unless I MYSELF felt threatened (which is what my earlier post was about) The man beating the teen should have stopped as soon as the threat was stopped. If he continued to beat the teen after getting control of the situation, then HE became a criminal at that point and he might be inviting trouble.

@romansten9 In my CCW course we learned about someone who shot and killed a man who was pummeling a 16 year old boy. The good Samaritan didn't realize the teenager had drawn a knife moments earlier and threatened the bystander for no apparent reason. Essentially, the good Samaritan killed a man who was only trying to defend himself from a knife attack.
I'm all for armed citizens upholding the law, but u better be damned sure of how you interpret a situation before u pull the trigger.

@domco2525 It would suck to live in your state. (because of the gun laws there) I'm thankful that I'm allowed to draw a weapon, not only for fear of death, but fear of bodily injury. If the other person has fists and is threatening me, even at a distance, I am allowed to draw. We are allowed to draw to prevent a felony also, which could include car theft and other theft of property. Thankfully self defense shootings rarely even go to court here, and if they do, the good guy wins.

what kind of target is that?

@daveroller Nice shooting!

@weedzilla420 it has to be if you feel your life is threatened .

@SSRT5 lasers are made for close range, handguns are made for close range 20 ft is a good distance with a handgun

You might want to work on that mega flinch you have. Bit more dry fire practice maybe. The gun’s projectiles don’t hit consistently where the laser is at the time the gun fires, so it’s a crap gun, crap bullets or you have a big flinch. Hope this helps.

I feel as if you may be mistaken If a man approaches you on the street and demands your watch it would be reasonable to assume that the individual is trying to rob you. If you are being confronted with a robbery it would be reasonable for you to feel as if you life or at least your safety is at risk.
If you have reasonable cause to believe your safety or life is at risk, you could draw your weapon but not fire If the attack escalated you could use lethal force to protect yourself.
20 ft.?? that's about 6.6 yards... short distance , I don't need a laser at that distance!! my XD9 Sub performs very well within the bulls eye.... maybe for 45 feet or more.

You're awesome!
I also noticed that the XD9 sub is very accurate for having just a 3" barrel. Nice.
I'm still a newbie at shooting and I'm also paralyzed from the armpits down, so I'm not able to aim a gun with 2 hands using the iron sights.
With a laser I can hold the pistol with both hands down at my lap while using the laser to aim it.
