I found one of those buttons, what you have there is an 1860's Civil War Naval button. :)

Neat stuff, thanks for showing us this. I like the tokens and things that aren't currency just as much or more than some of the currency. I want to get into this but don't know what kind of unit to get or where to go to get one. When I was a kid I had a cheap0 Radio Shack one that only went down about 2 inches and beeped every time I touched it to something. Can you recommend a good model that goes down a good ways (at least a foot or 2)? Thanks Marc

Nice finds, i just started metal detecting, got my first detector, fisher f2 and the same day found an indian head penny dated 1900, i know its not anything rare but i was excited. anyways i love your vids.

What kind of metal detector do you use and how much does a person have to spend on one that will pick up finds like you are showing?

Years back my brother took his detector to one of our arrowhead hunting fields and found a lot of historic artifacts ,gun parts, copper trade points , silver objects ,bangles , beads .....ect. Have you ever tried doing that ?
