Hearing this tragedy from the mouth of a mother is difficult, but necessary to understand the reality of suicide and how it could be prevented. http://mental.healthguru.com/

  • Wow. This video made me cry. I suffer from depression, as well, and go through times when suicide is a near constant thought on my mind. But one of the things that always stops me is the thought of my mother, and what my death could do to her. Thank you for having the courage to tell your story. It's such a sad one, but it helps people like me stop and think of the consequences of our actions.

  • @franciscayeah I've been holding on and pushing and struggling and trying for 29 years. Do not tell people "it gets better" - for many it does not. You can say "it MAY get better," but another promise from someone who does not understand what it is really like is not what people need, well-intentioned though you may be.

  • It's funny, they always tell you to call a suicide prevention line, but those lines do nothing for you. What do you do when you can't take the medicine or the medicine you can take doesn't work? You're supposed to just suffer until you die prematurely but "naturally." I've looked all over - there are plenty of people defining the problem, but noone has an answer.

  • Just dont do it, you may think that nobody loves you, but thats not true, you have a family and friends who cares about you. One of my friends comitted suicide and it was horrible. there is always a solution, it gets better.

  • @wendyspwnsu Holidays are the most common time for depression / suicide; moreover in the elderly, alone, orphaned, and etc.

  • I disagree on one very small thing: SOME people DO commit suicide. MOST, I agree, die by suicide.

  • @miamigurl123 ~ a 3rd here..keep strong..though easy said than done i guess..

  • My thoughts go to your family. Please don't any of you commit suicide. Please
