doesn't matter who you are. if you stand in front of that volley of strikes, you will be a broken moving meat mass. guy doesn't even look in shape, but is fluid enough with his technique to take on hordes of zombies. I hope he has continued his training. cool vid.

Some say it was derived from various forms of silat and modified over time in the philippines. The actual origin is lost. Though there is a lot to be said regarding Arnis / Kali by Grand Tuhon Gaje.

@manufacturedfracture incorrect. mutual assured destruction does not create peace, it creates a power keg of tension and oppressive fear. Peace cannot come from war, even if you put it in Latin.

@Razel42 I agree with you. Bringing escrima into the olympics would probably cheapen it. It's most effective in it's current form: as a martial art and self-defense system. It's a beautiful art and has helped fuel my curiosity about Filipino culture.
