  • Used to be sung so often. No one seems to know it now. Just so beautiful Thanks you.

  • Thank you for this wonderful post. I love David's talent and his personality is so down to earth.

  • Electrifying. Makes me wish I were there. May God appoint this man to sing Hosannahs forever in the New Jerusalem.

  • One of my personal favorites.. Praise God!

  • @kiwiscoota

Thanks for pasting Hobson's operatic repertoire across from Wikipedia - although I believe you missed his "Nemorino" in The Elixir of Love! Becoblue and versatile0268 are right, Hobson did NOT study opera at the Australian Conservatory (sic) - we have no such institution - but read Law and Economics at Melbourne University until he decided to devote himself to fulltime musical composition, which in turn led to an uncontemplated singing career with the Victoria State Opera, etc.

  • @Jeavey Hobson included the second verse tonight (Carols by Candlelight 2010) so perhaps it will be posted for everyone to enjoy, because he was in splendid voice!

  • SandyRiver24.....you are talking absolute rubbish and wouldn't know talent if it bit you on your arse!!

  • I watched David sing this song tonight at the 2010 christmas carols...magnificent!!

  • David sings this beautifully and I think that he sings it because he believes it. I've just watched the 2010 Carols by Candlelight tonight and he just sang it again. God bless you David. Thanks for posting this rendition.

  • He does this song better than anyone.

  • too big for him. should stick to G and S
