the dock has been there for as long as i've gone up there... it actually used to be tied down by the lake cabin but some disrespectful people, somewhere along the way, undid the tie-downs and it floated over to the tailings pile. I tied it back up to the tree and stabilized it with the rocks that were underneath this summer (Aug 2010)

Did you enjoy our family's mine? It's beautiful around the end of the summer, isn't it? The writing that's on the big yellow Cat was spray painted on there back in the summer of 07 by my cousin and I. You can see our names written beside the "K" and the "Y" on the back side.

We did enjoy our visit. An interesting part of Idaho, and your, history. Who put in the boat dock on the lake? The whole area is scenic and beautiful. Thanks for the info, I'll have to go back and look at the Cat.
