problem with pick n roll: Dwight Howard

the major weakness to his system is the transition defense because of the positioning of the lakers, where everyone is near the baseline, which leaves the 1-2 (older) guards to defend fast breaks. the roller(dwight/pau) needs to learn how to pop the mid-range with efficiency to have more options in the offense with a spread floor. they fail pick and rolls because defenders just play them off the roll and get the easy turnover + fastbreak points

Pau was the big reason to the Lakers' run. His ability to shoot the from the ft line, post up, pass, and rebound is not replaceable. Now that he's hurt, we're going to start feeling his missed presence.
