The Next Big Thing is a business idea competition whereby innovators are given a chance to pitch their original business ideas for possible funding and incubation into profitable enterprises.Over 3,000 applicants submitted their business proposals after which rigorous expert interviews narrowed them to a final 16 who will present their ideas to the investors. The competition has been running since September and aims to empower young innovators from high school, colleges, and universities with viable ideas that lack finance to get them off the ground. Some of the 12 sectors from which the ideas feature include; agribusiness, ICT, manufacturing, transport, tourism, green and ecology, and energy, among others with contestants being encouraged to align their ideas with the country's Vision 2030.Nation Media Group is running the competition in collaboration with Kenyatta University, as the knowledge partner, while Enablis Africa is in charge of logistics.
That dude at 1:52 is clearly an IDIOT. Here's busy demoralizing someone who had the guts to come up with an idea whereas probably hes just a foolish tutorial fellow on a Kshs 30,000 salary. Its not always cool to be the "Ian Mbugua" of the competition. He doesnt know what it took to come up with the idea
