  • hey bryan. i have a question for you. i guess first i should explain that my family is catholic, italian, and from louisana! i know- thats a lot of boundaries to hop over. im afraid to come out to grandma. my dad got his homophobia from her. we always go to her house for thanksgiving, and ive always wanted to bring a girl home. i dont see her much since she lives a couple of hours away. im wondering if its best to tell her one on one or with someone else around for moral support?

  • @hulagurl93 I would do it by yourself so that yoiur grandmother doesnt feel ambused

  • Just wanted to know are you star wars fans? I ask because of the toys in the back ground

  • @alio122000 Well I know you have made up your mind about what is right and wrong and thats ok....I have been with my partner 15 years and he is my better half....I love respect and admire the man he is and plan on spending my life with him. I have two other siblings that are straight and they woud kill to have a relationship like mine.....we are Christians and look forward to the day I get to meet my father and am accepted by him. Plus be carefull when you judge.

  • @alio122000 why do you feel that way what is it about people who have found happiness in their lifes a problem with you

  • Oh man! I've just found this video and i'm really excited! Bryan, your story is pretty much like mine, and i wanted to ask you an advice...

I'm from Argentina, and i'm living in the states (texas) for 6 months with a host family (very christian and conservative) and i'm feeling really bad. If i come out, i'm afraid of a total rejection and feel even worst than now, that i'm suffering for not being able to be myself. Also, i don't know anybody here and i'm feeling really lonely... THANKS!!!

  • It good that your Dad is somewhat supportive, My father died when I was 15 and at that age I wasn't really in tune to who I was. My mother actually asked me if I was gay and I still wasn't ready to accept myself.. by the time I did my mother had died. After she died, I found a book that she was reading by Masters and Johnston Homsexuality in Proscective, and I was happy that she made an effort to understand more about what being was like. Though not a book that is easy to read.

  • Bryan your so lovely!!!! xxx

  • fantastic story. i love how each person's coming out tale is unique to the individual, but at the same time there is so much common ground among everyone's experience that it allows stories like yours to really inspire others to be brave and take the next step to being who they are meant to be.

  • I want to thank you Bryan for allowing us to listen to your story. I am a gay teen in SF and this and your channel have given me real hope. I am not completely out, but it was really nice to hear your experience. Being raised Catholic and going to a Catholic elementary school and a Catholic/ Marianist all boy school, I kinda understand your struggles. I hope when i come out to my parents, we will still be able to have a relationship. Thanks again.

  • lol you're so shy here Bryan! cute. you've come a long way.

  • @Robbb1981 You're welcome. :) I hope it all goes well for you and your friend. ^_^

    Merry Christmas. :D

  • @PenfforddMan i will be calm and relaxed and ask him when i go to my home town for christmass, thanks :D

  • @Robbb1981 You're welcome. ^_^ If anything, I suppose you could try asking him something to the effect of "Are you gay? I wouldn't care if you were and if you don't want to tell me that's cool too, just wondering." :)

Ease him into it, it makes it a whole lot easier for a guy to come out if the person he's trying to tell is relaxed, friendly, calm and honest. ^_^

  • @PenfforddMan i don't know if he denies it or not because i haven't even asked him yet...but sometimes i think he was hinting it.He told me he went to a priest to confess and this priest was recomened from another guy who had done some "gay stuff" and felt guilty...Sounded like a hint to me...i think about asking him only one time and see if he get upset or angry...thanks for your response :)
