Before anybody comments on this single performance....Please listen to his performance on "VH1 Rock Honors"...It made me want to hear it over and over again..cause I loved the sound of his voice. Being a music lover myself,I listen to the melody..:)

This is a great cover, dude. Eddie Vedder has been a die hard The Who fan for ages. This was the first time they played it live AND I WAS THERE! Gig of my life, no doubt.

You guy just don't get it.....It's NOT a competition. ED and PJ are HONOURING The Who....not trying to better it. I personally think they nailed it like very few IF ANYONE ELSE could.

Pearl Jam... they love music obviously. I always see people judging the covers they decide to play. In playing the song(very well for that matter) someone WHO knows nothing of the WHO may now discover the band. You see, one thing Pearl Jam has done throughout their career is made their fans...fans of others.
Not to mention this was the first place the song was played live(very cool). The WHO also was a big influence of a lot of todays rock.
I must say Pearl Jam is a class act pure energy
